6/29/2023 0 Comments Jeffty Is Five by Harlan Ellison![]() In the libraries of peoples' reading histories, his writing seems to fall in a crack between Stephen King, Clive Barker, Vonnegut, Tolkien, Lewis Carroll, and perhaps an anthology containing a story or two by Asimov and Bradbury. In fact, I am shocked and bejiggered to find so many people who have never even heard of Harlan Ellison. But when I mention Dreams., nobody has ever heard of it. It seems strange to write a review of a book a year after its publication and many years after the first publications of its material. QPBC calls Dreams with Sharp Teeth "An omnibus volume of three books by Harlan Ellison: I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream., Deathbird Stories., and Shatterrday." I call it a big, fat book stuffed full of the most insightful, finely crafted, twisted writing ever waiting to be read. ![]() ![]() If I were to recommend a single reason to join Quality Paperback Book Club it would be this book. ![]()
